Lahm Hamas (Meat & Tomatoes) Iraqi Breakfast.

Most Iraqi eat the Lahm Hamas for breakfast or dinner with khubz Iraqi flatbread or Samoon (the Iraqi bread are available on the website) which can be made into a sandwich with your favorite salad. This dish is very easy to make, and it will take less than 30 minutes to prepare. The dish contains ground beef, parsley, green onions, cilantro, tomatoes, and few spices.



Ingredient

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 5 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 large onion chopped

  • 2 cup parsley chopped

  • 1 cup green onion chopped

  • 1 cup cilantro chopped

  • 5 large tomatoes chopped

  • 2 tablespoon tomatoes paste

  • ¼ cup of water

  • 1 tablespoon cumin

  • 1 tablespoon coriander powder

  • 1 tablespoon black pepper

  • 1 tablespoon paprika

  • Salt as preferred

Instruction:

In a large pan add the ground beef and cook over high heat until the meat is cooked


Add the oil and the onion cook until the onion is fully cooked


Add onion, parsley, green onion, cilantro, cook for 3 to 5 minutes


Add the tomatoes paste and water mix well for 5 minutes


Add salt, cumin, coriander powder, black pepper, and paprika

Add the tomatoes cook for 7 to 8 minutes until the tomatoes are cooked

Lower the heat and cover and let it simmer for few minutes
